The 'ESENZA' trademark guarantees the quality of the products distributed and
produced by the company Santa Cristina S.r.L..
By respecting nature in our work, we have today succeeded in restoring the fantasy
of flavours that only the nature and sun of Italy can create. Our producers,who
are selected bearing in mind the correct application of the biological method,are
monitored during all stages of cultivation and harvesting. The aim of this is to offer
a range of tasty, genuine products rich in natural nutritious substances.
All our foods are produced with raw materials selected for their special characteristics
in terms of quality and under the guarantee that cultivation methods excluding the use of
chemical products are applied. Thanks to the methods of fragrances are preserved
and that the use of preservatives, stabilisers or similar substances is excluded.

         Our JAMS are produced using 120 grams of fruit per 100 of finished product with the addition
         of raw cane sugar. Sugar-free preparations are obtained by using apple juice as a sweetener. 
         The fruit used comes from Italy's prime areas of production, while bilberries and forest fruits
         come from natural harvesting. The hazel-nut cream is free of sugar and fats and is obtained by 
         simply mixing hazel-nuts of the highly valued Piedmont variety with biological rice malt.
The EXTRA VIRGIN OLIVE OIL is produced 100% with biologically cultivated Umbrian olives grown in a farm in Giano dell'Umbria, collected by hand and cold-crushed with a stone press. It has won national and international tasting awards and is produced in limited quantities (no more than 80 quintals per year). It is a veritable rarity.
The PESTO is produced with biologically grown sweet basil from Liguria and is based on the most traditional Genoese recipe.
The PEELED TOMATOES are produced in a religious community which has reconverted a number of papal farms on the hills of Lazio to bilogical farming. The tomatoes are harvested by hand at just the right stage of ripening, peeled by hand and immediately placed in a glass vase with the addition of fresh sweet basil grown in the same farms. It is a product of unique quality with an inimitable flavour and yield.
The TOMATO SAUCES are prepared following the most traditional Italian recipe and are based on biologically produced tomato puree enhanced by the flavour of vegetables and edible boletus mushrooms.
All the biological products are controlled by A.I.A.B.,
the Italian Association for Biological Farming, a body recognised in accordance
with E.E.C. rules regulating biological production methods.
